1957 Hobe Lemon Yellow Necklace
Stunning 3 strand necklace in yellow, white and brown. The pale lemon yellow beads are plastic striped moonglow beads. The white beads are also plastic striped moonglow beads. The topaz crystals, bright yellow aurora borealis beads, and light yellow aurora borealis beads are all glass. There are small goldtone flowerette spacers and goldtone filigree findings. All of the beads are strung on a very fine silvertone chain. The clasp has 4 white milk glass heart shaped stones with 3 grooves in each of them. The center stone is a striped yellow and white moonstone oval cabachon surrounded by 4 topaz colored rhinestones. All of the stones are prong set. The back is bright goldtone finished, even though the camera makes it look dark, and is signed “Hobe” and “1957” in an oval. The slide clasp is in good working condition. Necklace hangs 10″ and the shortest strand, when opened, measures 17″ long. A wonderful, heavy, necklace!
