833 Silver and Plique-A-Jour Child’s Food Pusher
$165.00
This is a really unusual item. I was told it was a child’s food pusher. The handle has a violet (the flower) at the top. In the center is the word “VIOOLTJE” which is Dutch for “VIOLET”. The bottom of the food pusher is flat and has a scroll design and a violet in the center. The plique-a-jour enameling is in red, orange, yellow, and blue. Plique-a-jour is enameling that has a stained glass appearance; light shines through it. The back of the center is marked “833 SILVER”. The food pusher measures 4 1/8″ long. The bottom measures 1 1/2″ wide. This is the most unusual item I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure of the origin. I am guessing the Netherlands based on the Dutch writing, but that is totally a guess.
