Aztec Warrior Crushed Stone and Sterling Silver Round Pendant/Pin
$43.00
Large round sterling silver pendant/pin depicting an Aztec warrior wearing an eagle headdress and holding a shield (chimalli) and a battle sword (macuahuitl). It appears he is fighting some sort of serpent. The warrior is in sterling on a background of a blend of crushed stone. I’m not sure what the stone is composed of, but I definitely notice malachite (green) in it. There are a couple small black spots on the feathers of the shield and on the beak of the eagle headdress. The back is marked with 3 separate marks. One I can’t read except for the “925” in the center. The second one says “STERLING HECHO EN MEXICO”. The third one is an eagle mark with a “3” in the center of it. The back has a bale on it to be worn as a pendant. There also is a pin, and the clasp is in good working condition. Pin measures 2 1/8″ across. Since this pin is so shiny and hard to get a good picture of it, I took multiple pictures to try and capture all the detail.
