Black Plastic Mysteries on Prisms Rosary
Silvertone and black plastic rosary with large prism-shaped black plastic Mysteries. The crucifix is an antiqued silvertone Christ and INRI on a bright silvertone cross. The edge of it is marked “ITALY”. The center is Mary with a laurel around the bottom and depicts Jesus with the sacred heart on the back. Five of the prisms have 3 mysteries (Joyful Mysteries, Glorious Mysteries, Sorrowful Mysteries) on each to be prayed on in order on different days. There is a sixth prism that tells you which days to pray on which set of Mysteries. This prism is closest to the cross. It says: 1) G – Wed. Sat. Sun. Easter to Advent; 2) J – Mon. Thur. Sun. Advent; 3) S – Tue. Fri. Sun. Lent. The 5 Joyful Mysteries are: The Annunciation, The Visitation, The Birth Of Jesus, The Presentation, and Finding The Child Jesus In Temple. The five Sorrowful Mysteries are: The Agony In The Garden, The Scourging At The Pillar, Crowning With Thorns, Carrying Of The Cross, and The Crucifixion. The five Glorious Mysteries are: The Resurrection, The Ascension, Descent Of The Holy Ghost, The Assumption, The Coronation. This rosary is in great condition and looks like it was never used. The crucifix measures almost 2″ x 1 1/8″. The rosary hangs 25″. There is a small round metal tag attached by the center that has a copyright symbol and says “1962 by V. J. Conner”. Very unusual.
