Bogoff Dirksen Elephant Political Tie Tac Pin in Original Box

This is the cutest little darkened silvertone elephant head tie tac pin that says “DIRKSEN” below it. There are clear rhinestones set into the head of the elephant as well as 2 red rhinestone eyes. The tusks are cream enamel, with just the tiniest bit missing on the tip of the left tusk. The back is marked “BOGOFF”. The tie tac comes in its original red and white striped box with a clear plastic lid that is also marked “Jewels by BOGOFF”. Measures 3/4" x ½". The tie tac pin is in high relief. A nice little political collectible of Everett Dirksen, a republican senator from Illinois who passed away in September, 1969. c.1960.
