This is a very nice pair of cut steel shoe buckles that are in great condition. They look brand new. The front is in a diamond pattern. My camera did not like the reflection of the steel, but they are very shiny and bright. There is a black piece of leather looking material behind the cut steel with a backing of felt to protect the shoes. The buckle on the back is marked "FRANCE" and there is a pair of slides on them that I am not sure of their purpose. The slides are marked "EVERGRIP" in a diamond, "PAT. NO. 1728763", and "F.B.N. CO.". This patent number was applied for in 1928. You can check it out at the United States Patents and Trademarks website. These buckles are in great condition and show no rust. Buckles measure 2 1/2" x 2". A very nice set.
