Fantastic Purple and Sterling Hobe Floral Bow Pin

This is one of the nicest early Hobe pieces I have seen. The pin is a heavy sterling silver bow shape with a flower in the center and floral sprays and leaves accenting the bow. The center flower has a very large round lavender stone in the center. There are also 2 large purple emerald cut rhinestones in the middle of each floral spray. The stones are bevel set. The center of the back has a large disc that is marked “Hobe`” in the old style and “STERLING”, however, it is very hard to read due to the disc being a little bumpy and the mark did not imprint well. The pin back is a bit wavy, but the safety catch is in good working condition. Other than the pin back, the only flaw I see is from the back where the flower buds are attached. One side received more soldering than the other, however, this may have occurred during the making of the pin, but I felt the need to point it out. You cannot see it from the front, but it is up to you to decide whether it is a design flaw or a fix. This pin measures 2 3/4″ x 1 3/4″ and is a wonderful example of early craftsmanship and artistry.
