Lanvin Paris Interchangeable Pendant Necklace in Original Box

This is a large Bijoux Lanvin Paris necklace in the original box. Necklace is a thick goldtone snake chain with a large goldtone crescent-shaped pendant that holds a large marbleized thick piece of plastic. The plastic part of the pendants are interchangeable and come in a selection of colors that include marbleized red, green, and brown. Each plastic piece has a wheel on the back of it so that the bar of the pendant slides into it and then is secured on turning 90 degrees. I’ve tried to picture what this looks like with the red pendant. Neck chain measures 19″, and the safety clasp is in good working condition. Each plastic piece measures 2 3/4″ x 2 1/8″. When worn on the pendant, the pendant measures 3 3/4″ x 2 3/8″. The pendant and each plastic piece is marked “LANVIN PARIS”. The pendants and necklace come in the original box that is metal lined with a silk lid. The lid inside says “Bijoux Lanvin New York – Paris”. The pendants and necklace fit into a fuzzy-covered plastic insert. There is a crack near the top where the chain goes under it and a couple small stains in the bottom left corner. The top and bottom of the box is red and may be some sort of plastic covering. The top has a modern symbol on it and does have a partial water-ring stain on it. The bottom does have a large stain along one side. The hinge of the box is tight and in good working condition. The necklace and pendants appear to be in good vintage condition. This necklace has been seen in Elle magazine and also adorning celebrities such as Keira Knightley (“the Keira necklace”). A wonderful vintage piece circa 1975.
