Mexican Rectangle Pin and Diamond-Shaped Earrings Set

This is a rectangle pin with looped sides with a diamond and triangle-shaped design.  The pin has a soldered safety pin closure.  It is very crudely done, so I do not know if this is how it was made or not, but the clasp is in good working condition.  The pin  measures 1 3/8″ x 7/8″.  The earrings are diamond shaped and have 7 metal teardrops dangling from them.  The screwbacks are in good working condition.  Below each screwback is writing, but the only word I can make out is “MEXICO”.  The earrings measure 1 5/8″ x 7/8″.  I do not believe these are sterling.
