Goldtone chains dangle form vine-looking heart shape which hangs from 2 findings on the chain. Goldtone beads with a rose design hang from each chain. The heart and large feather-shaped findings have bright, clear, prong set rhinestones on them. The matching earrings consist of 3 goldtone rose beads and 1 bright open-back, clear, prong set rhinestone. The necklace hangs 14 1/2″ and the earrings hang 2 1/4″. Slide clasp and clips are in good working condition. Mr. John jewelry is quite rare due to the fact that most, if not all, of the jewelry was unsigned and marked only by the paper hang tags. This set still has its paper hang tags. One side of the tag says “Mr. John, Emperor of Fashion, New York – Paris”. The other side says “For the World’s Best Dressed. Mr. John. Couturier Jewels”. These tags are original to this set as I bought them from a drugstore that was going out of business in 1984 that had this set, among others, in their storage room as new old store stock. It was like stepping back into time when walking into that drugstore.
