Two Ring Bearer Silvertone Rose Ring Boxes
These are really unusual, and I’ve never seen anything like them. These are 2 heavy, silvertone roses that open to reveal a ring box in each one. The ring box has a white satin lid and a red velvet ring holder. I believe they would have been used by a ring bearer in a wedding to present the rings to the bride and groom. Each rose measures 9″ long. The bud measures 1 3/4″ by 1 3/4″. Hinges are very tight. Bottom is marked “Made in China.”
The roses are tarnished and look antique. I believe they would polish up with a polishing cloth as I have spot polished them before, but I will leave that up to you to do the work if you want. Do not dip them in anything, though. They appear to have only a silver plate, which will come off if put in any type of cleaner.
