West German Aluminum Filigree and Purple Rhinestone Pin

This is a light aluminum filigree setting with a huge purple cabochon prong set in the center and purple and lavender round rhinestones decorating the filigree setting around it.  The photo makes it look like there is a black circle around a purple cabochon, but that black circle is actually the sides of the cabochon; not sure why it photos that way; there is nothing wrong with the center stone.  The back is marked “W. GERMANY” on a round placard in the center.  Pin measures 2 1/8″ across. Safety clasp is in good working condition.
